RooХ CEM Widgets

RooХ CEM (Customer Experience Management) Widgets allow operator to flexibly construct multi-function Internet portals or implement various applications by using uniform configurable dynamic elements. It streamlines portal and app deployment and management processes and increases operator’s presence in the subscriber environment.

In contrast with a traditional monolith-like portal and application design, Roox Widgets offers new modular approach to software building. It allows dividing user interface into specialized visual blocks – widgets with different sets of functions. With widgets for product management, balance enquiry, notifications or, e.g., banner ads the operator can easily assemble or modify portals for personified subscriber Self-Service, Sales Force Automation and operational CRM.

The situations when it is need to make some portal or app changes connected with new marketing ideas or offers happen frequently. The possibility to add an atomic functionality in the Widgets-built software allows the operator to implement immediate changes without waiting for yet another release, thus achieving high flexibility and dramatically reducing time to market for new products and services.

RooX Widgets guarantee uniform user experience by allowing to deploy new or updated widgets without the need for any customization or alteration in different environments. User can assess the same functionality from the same widget:

  • within an operator’s web portal (CMS system),
  • as applications in such social networks like Facebook or Google,
  • as IFrame within any external Internet web sites,
  • in connection manager application,
  • in mobile applications (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone).

In integration with RooX SSO product RooX Widgets expand subscriber Internet experience and enable secure service by introducing concept of authentication levels. This concept links specific widget behavior to subscriber’s authentication means, thus demonstrating different content and offering different options to subscribers based on their role or trustworthiness of their identity. Authentication levels may include (from lower to higher): anonymous, social network account, customer username/password, subscriber device (BSF or Correlation), one time password over SMS, etc.

RooX Widgets were developed for maximum flexibility and compatibility with external applications. Widgets may be run in any JSR286 compatible portlet container like Apache Pluto, Liferay or Exo and inside any compatible CMS. All data exchange between widgets and the operator OSS/BSS is performed in real-time via a RooX GUP server developed according to 3GPP standard. The system allows downloading additional widgets, either paid or free ones, from the Internet and integrating them with the operator’s portal. Thus, a blog, a news feed, or a file library can be added speedily and at very little cost.

Widgets play important role as a technological platform for other RooX products and solutions, such as Portals, Connection Manager and Social Media Integration. Also, RooX Widgets allow the operator to generate additional revenue by acting as a payment interface for third parties like Internet merchants or content providers. It enables the operator to place a «Pay via [operator]» button on merchants' web pages to encourage easy and secure payments from subscriber accounts without any personal data transfer.

RooX Widgets offer the operator a true flexibility in catering for various subscriber needs and developing advanced Internet tools for introducing new sophisticated services.
