RooX UIDM Federation

RooX UIDM (Universal Identity Management) Federation provides functionality for linking subscribers’ profiles to their social network and other third-party service accounts. It enables the operator to benefit from growing popularity of social networks and to participate as an identity-provider (IDP) or a service provider (SSP) in a complex multi-party Internet service models.

With RooX Federation, operator can allow subscribers to use their subscriber credentials, like mobile number, network ID or subscriber device, to authenticate at the third-party Internet portals. The system also enables subscribers to login to the Self-Service site and other operator’s portals by using their external accounts – e.g. from social networks.

Operators can benefit from increased presence in social media by attracting more subscribers to their portals and gaining access to valuable information on subscriber demographics, occupation or preferences. This information combined with operators’ own CRM data will allow operators to design tailored offers and to personalize subscribers’ Internet experience.

Operators can also increase the number of direct interactions with subscribers by distributing operator applications in the social networks. In seamless integration with RooX Widgets RooX Federation allows the operator to build applications securely providing subscribers with online information on their products and accounts – and offering instant product upgrade right from the social network. A subscriber may see a «Purchase a new traffic package» banner in Facebook – and be able to purchase this package offer in one click.

RooX Federation enables the operators to receive additional revenue by granting third-party Internet services an access to subscriber data. This data can be used by service providers for catering to subscriber needs and preferences, thus stimulating Internet service consumption and improving overall subscriber satisfaction.

Deployment of RooX Federation is significantly streamlined by the availability of uniform standards-based tools for interfacing with internet services. The system flexibly communicates with external applications via OAuth2.0, SAMLv2 and OpenID protocols.

Thus, RooX Federation offers an advanced functionality for creating new revenue streams and boosting subscriber satisfaction by developing a significant presence in increasingly popular social networks.
