Social Media Integration
RooX SMI (Social Media Integration) solution enables an operator to communicate with subscribers where they can most easily be found today – in social networks.

RooX SMI tools allow the operator to provide the subscribers with automatic care and servicing at websites like Facebook just as they do at their own portal.
Also, operators can become themselves valuable and trusted identity providers for other Web partners. By using OAuth2.0 protocol operator can turn a subscriber mobile phone number (MSISDN) into a unique internet ID to be used as a passport while accessing various Internet resources.
Distribution of operator applications in the social networks allows the operator to significantly increase the number of direct contacts with subscribers. With these apps, integrated by RooX with back-office systems, primarily OSS/BSS and CRM, operators can securely provide subscribers with online information on their products and accounts – and allow them to upgrade their products instantly and seamlessly right from their social network. A subscriber may see a «Purchase a new traffic package» banner in Facebook – and be able to purchase this package offer in one click.
By establishing closer partnerships with social networks using RooX SMI solution, operators can also persuade more subscribers to attend their portal – and do it more often. The solution allows subscribers to access the functionality of the operator portal using their social network accounts instead of remembering operator-specific password. By gaining access to Social Media accounts operators also gain access to additional information about their subscribers – like demographics, occupation or preferences. This information combined with operators’ own CRM profiles allows them to tailor offers based on visitors’ needs.
At the same time, operators can provide subscribers with an opportunity to use their mobile numbers for authentication at external web sites. In this case external portals request subscriber information from the operator – and the operator is able to provide it securely with subscriber’s permission. Secure subscriber transition between the operator’s portal and external web resources does not require repeated login procedure. The subscriber just presses the button «Login via [operator]» like, for example, «Login via Facebook».
Thus, RooX SMI solution enables the operator to benefit from the growing popularity of social networks and support flexible and effective subscriber interaction via the new media channels.
